1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
3 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. quartered maraschino cherries
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Using your hands, mix 1 cup of flour, butter and confectioners sugar together in a large bowl until smooth. Spread thin with fingers into a square 8x8" baking pan. Bake about 25 minutes. Stir all remaining ingredients into eggs in the bowl. Spread this mixture over the baked base mixture. Bake for another 20-25 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars after cooling and store bars in an airtight container.
