Black Walnut Cookies Recipe
in Bars and Cookies on Thursday, March 15, 2012

Personally, I can't eat these cookies as I am allergic to walnuts...however, My hubby loves walnuts and his mother makes him cookies and this is her recipe. Furthermore, she has a walnut tree in her backyard so its a good way for her to use up some of the walnuts.
Black Walnut Cookies
1/2 lb. butter, softened
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
3 cups flour
1 cup of chopped walnuts
In a large Tupperware Thatsa bowl, cream together the butter and the sugar. Mix in the eggs and beat again. Stir in the rest of the recipe ingredients and beat again until everything is combined. Line your cookie sheet with the Tupperware Nonstick Silicone Wonder Baking Mat. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop your cookie batter by the rounded teaspoon onto the baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
