1/4cup Toor dal
1/4cup Masoor dal
1/4cup Moong dal
2cups Cabbage (shredded or chopped finely)
1/4tsp Turmeric powder
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
1/2tsp Mustard seeds+urad dal
1/4tsp Cumin seeds
3nos Dry red chillies
5nos Curry leaves
1/4tsp Asafoetida powder
2tbsp Ghee
Salt
To Grind:
2tbsp Grated coconut
1tsp Cumin seeds
1tbsp Peppercorns
Grind all the ingredients from the list 'To Grind' as fine paste with some water and keep aside..Wash the dals and combine the dals and cabbage with enough water in a pressure cooker with turmeric powder and cook for two hisses..Once the steam get released, add the grounded paste,salt and garam masala powder with cup of water (as per ur need),cook for few minutes...In a another pan, heat the ghee, fry the mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies, cumin seeds and asafoetida powder with curry leaves, add the tempered spices to the cooking dal and put off the stove..
Serve hot along with rice and potato roast..
